Day 1: Introduction to Organic Farming and The Basics of Plant & Animal Nutrition

Now, mix the materials in the right proportions:

Recommended Ratio:

50% Topsoil

30% Well-Decomposed Manure or Compost

10% Sand (if needed)

10% Coconut Coir or Rice Husk

 Mixing Process:

  1. Spread a large plastic sheet or use a clean surface to mix.
  2. Pour the topsoil onto the surface.
  3. Add the well-decomposed manure or compost and mix thoroughly.
  4. If your soil is too compact (tight), add sand for better drainage.
  5. Add coconut coir or rice husk to keep the soil loose and able to hold water.
  6. If your soil is too acidic (sour), mix in a small amount of lime.
  7. Keep mixing until all the materials blend evenly.
